We started Will and Tom's PodPlus as a way to create ongoing content that is both timely and timeless. The format allows for ongoing conversations about topics that are happening right now along with topics that are always relevant. Things like, how to get the attention of the busy potential client in a world of increasing distractions and how to communicate the value of everything we do with brevity and uniqueness.
Our premise is that this format and the conversational nature of the podcast will allow us to distribute our latest thinking and ideas with more regularity than we have ever done before.
We will release new content every month and spend time in between recordings jotting down ideas to brainstorm on the next episode.
For Will, attending Tom Lipscomb’s various trainings and seminars wherever they took place was a great way to learn and grow. Since 2010, it has been the number one thing that has helped him grow his business and work with sophisticated clients.

Will Richardson, CLU, CFP
Will Richardson has been a Wealth Management Advisor with Northwestern Mutual since 2008.
Will and his team have qualified for Forum the past 3 consecutive years, Live’s Leaders’ Summit each year since 2011, MDRT Top of the Table in 2016, and Top 3 in the Financial Security Award in the Western Region in 2016.
Will has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi.
Will has two children, Liam (age 8) and Ben (age 6). He lives in San Francisco, CA. Will enjoys running and creating content for other advisors.
Tom Lipscomb, CLU
Tom Lipscomb has been a Financial Representative with Northwestern Mutual since 1985. Eleven times he has been among the top twenty producers for the company out of over 7,000 representatives as a result of his focus on helping successful clients understand “what’s possible” in the areas of estate planning and tax-favored wealth accumulation planning. Tom’s total career premium production with Northwestern Mutual to date is $23,000,000.
Tom is a twenty-year qualifier for the Million Dollar Round Table’s Top of the Table designation.
Tom has earned the Chartered Life Underwriter designation (CLU), and has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of Kansas in Saxophone Performance.
Tom and his wife, Kari, have two children, Anna (age 21) and Thomas (age 18). They live in Overland Park, Kansas. Tom plays saxophone on his church music worship team and is on the board of several local ministries. His hobbies include kids’ activities, mountain biking, traveling, music, and watching KU Basketball.
